Why this site exists
The basilica sells four tickets from its own website, and booking platforms sell dozens of guided visits on top of them. Almost every page you land on shows you one side of that and hides the other, so people arrive having paid twice or having paid $90 for something the basilica itself sells at €30.
We put both side by side, with the euro price from sagradafamilia.org next to the dollar price on the platform, and we say plainly which one we would buy in which situation. Sometimes the answer is the cheap official ticket and a good podcast on the walk over.
How we check the facts
Prices, ratings and review counts come from the operators' own listing pages and carry the date we read them. Ticket tiers and opening hours come from the basilica's official site. Construction dates come from the Junta Constructora's announcements and the news coverage of them, and we say when something is expected rather than done.
The reviews quoted on this site are real, with the traveller's first name, country and the month they wrote in. We keep the critical ones as well as the glowing ones, because a review that says the meeting point bakes in the July sun is more useful than a fifth star.
What we look for in a tour
We do not list everything on sale. A tour earns a place here when it meets a plain baseline:
- The basilica entry ticket is included in the price, with no second payment at the door
- A licensed guide, in a language the listing actually names
- Enough verified reviews to trust the rating, or an honest note when there are not
- Free cancellation, in most cases up to 24 hours before the start
- Inclusions written clearly, especially whether tower access is part of it
